meet-mary-casualA Woman with a Survivor’s Mission:
about Mary E. MacDonald M.A.

In the fall of 2007, Mary became a displaced person when she chose to companion her 66-year-old mom, Margaret, diagnosed with Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), through her end-of-life. Over the course of eighteen months, Mary lost her career (as a successful web design consultant), income, home, belongings, friends, and personal health. The negative health effects of dementia-care lingered long-after her mom’s death (12/24/2008). Choosing to pick herself up from devastation in 2010, Mary became a Certified Yoga Teacher, Professional Coach and Group Leader. Since then she has spoken, taught, coached, and consulted on the self-care topic for family and professional caregivers internationally.

Mary founded Marymac Missions LLC in 2010. She holds a M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Psychology and German.
